Privacy Notice

This application is used by the Greater Manchester Cricket League to administer captain reporting, authenticate captains and administrators, manage league compliance processes, and support related league operations.

This notice explains what personal data is processed through the application, why it is used, and how requests relating to that data can be made.

Categories of personal data
  • Captain and administrator identity details, including name, email address and, where provided, phone number.
  • Club and team details linked to captain reporting and league administration.
  • Submission data, including report content, timestamps and related operational metadata.
  • Authentication and security data, including login events, single-use access tokens, IP addresses and user-agent information.
How the data is used
  • To operate league reporting and related administration.
  • To send secure access links to captains and support administrator access.
  • To maintain security, prevent misuse, and keep an audit trail of important system actions.
  • To monitor whether required reports have been submitted by the relevant deadline.
  • To support league compliance and sanction processes where a required submission has not been received.
Compliance checks and sanctions

The application uses submission and scheduling data to check whether required reports have been submitted on time. Where a required submission is not recorded by the deadline, the system may automatically flag or issue a league sanction, including yellow or red cards, in accordance with league rules.

These checks are intended to support league administration and are not intended to operate as an unreviewable black-box decision. League administrators may review, confirm, amend or reverse a sanction where a report was submitted, an exception applies, or the automated outcome was incorrect.

Retention

Operational security data is retained for limited periods. Submission records are retained for league administration unless they are later anonymised or removed under an approved process.

Further detail is set out in the retention schedule.

Your rights and requests

Requests for access, correction or erasure, and queries or challenges relating to an apparent non-submission or sanction, should be sent to webmaster@gmcl.co.uk.
